The Duvel Made Him Do It

So by rights this should be a beer-blogging post, and it is of sorts:

The Duvel made him do it

Thank you Ewoud (a good citizen of a low country and a fan of the Duvel), for the excellent present of a wool Duvel cap, which is now my new favorite hat. Appropriately, it arrived on a day when it is raining cats and dogs, and when I'm a gin and a trombone away from thinking it was cyclocross season.

But enough frivolity, two last beers!

8 Belgian beers. Yummy.

First, a correction. I previously said I had reviewed Chimay Blue, when in fact I had reviewed Chimay Red. I'll go correct that. Chimay Blue gets reviewed this week, and it's quite lovely. 4/5, as good as Unibroue, complex but hits like a hammer. However, I'm going to have to get a beer cellar so I can drink this stuff at the proper 10 C temperature. Also on my list: some Duvel glasses.

The other unreviewed but now-quaffed beer is my beloved Gulden Draak. It's as good as I remember, and eminently drinkable. Best beer in the world? It's definitely very good. 4/5.
