Not much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 25: <em>The Blue Carbuncle<\/em>, we\u2019ll be watching the Jeremy Brett edition of this Christmasy Sherlock Holmes classic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 26: <em>It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em>, but let\u2019s admit it: Pottersville seems pretty fun<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 27: <em>Blackadder\u2019s Cbristmas Carol,<\/em> no explanation needed, I hope<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 28: <em>X-Files<\/em>, \u201cHow the Ghosts Stole Christmas\u201d, for your deep cut Christmas pleasure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 29: <em>All Creatures Great and Small<\/em> \u201cMerry Gentlemen\u201d, one of many Christmas episodes in this BBC adaptation of the James Herriot veterinary memoirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 30: <em>National Lampoon\u2019s Christmas Vacation<\/em>, we\u2019ve never seen it, so let\u2019s give it a try<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 1: <em>A Charlie Brown Christmas<\/em>, no explanation needed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 2: <em>The Lady in the Lake<\/em>, Marlowe Noir + Christmas, how can this go wrong?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 3: <em>How the Grinch Stole Christmas<\/em>, this household doesn\u2019t recognize any version not narrated by Boris Karloff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 4: <em>Emmet Otter\u2019s Jug-Band Christmas<\/em>, a Muppet Christmas special we haven\u2019t seen? And it\u2019s technically Can-con? OK!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 5: <em>Elf<\/em>, because of course we have to include Will Ferrell\u2019s fourth-best movie (behind, in no order, <em>Talladega Nights, Stranger Than Fiction, <\/em>&amp; <em>The Other Guys<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 6: <em>A Wish for Wings That Work<\/em>, an odd Bloom County animated special that was all but disavowed by Berke Breathed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 7: <em>The Snowman<\/em>, this is a lovely animated version of the Raymond Briggs classic<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 8: <em>Trading Places<\/em>, which is a more remarkable movie than you likely realize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 9: <em>Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer<\/em>, maybe the pinnacle of Rankin\/Bass specials<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 10: <em>Kiss Kiss Bang Bang<\/em>, an underrated neo-noir with enough Christmas to make this list<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 11: <em>The Nightmare Before Christmas, <\/em>\u201cbut wait!\u201d I hear you say, \u201cisn\u2019t that a Halloween movie?\u201d Reader, it\u2019s both<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 12: <em>A Christmas Story<\/em>, I\u2019m not sure this ages as well as the others on this list, it\u2019s a bit slow in places, but there\u2019s so many good vignettes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 13: <em>2046,<\/em> this Wong Kar-Wai masterpiece is many things, including a Christmas movie<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 14: <em>The Box of Delights<\/em> \u201cWhen the Wolves Were Running,\u201d a BBC classic recommended to me, so here we go<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 15: <em>Jingle Bell Rocks<\/em>, an obscure documentary about Christmas music collectors, if you like this sort of thing, you may like it very much<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 16: <em>Scrooged<\/em>, because I am not re-watching <em>A Very Murray Christmas<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 17: <em>A Christmas Carol<\/em>, we mean the Alastair Sim version<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 18: <em>A Very Venture Christmas<\/em>, hijinks ensue when Krampus crashes the Christmas party, Rebecca is happy this is only 11 minutes long<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 19: <em>Miracle on 34th Street<\/em>, the 1947 original<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 20: <em>In Bruges<\/em>, the greatest hitman comedy is also a great Christmas movie<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 21: <em>Santa Claus is Comin\u2019 to Town<\/em>, another Rankin\/Bass classic, this a ludicrous Kris Kringle origin story that\u2019s a bit too fun to miss<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 22: <em>Tokyo Godfathers<\/em>, I haven\u2019t seen this weird anime from Satoshi \u201cCowboy Bebop\u201d Kon, so here we go<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">December 23: <em>Holiday Inn<\/em>, the musical with \u201cWhite Christmas\u201d in it.
